The company is among a distinguished group of Capital Region businesses to be awarded by the Albany Business Review’s annual program
(Latham, NY – July 1, 2020) – Latham Pool Products is proud to announce it is the recipient of the 2020 “Healthiest Employers” award presented by the Albany Business Review, along with a select group of distinguished businesses in the Capital Region. Latham has cultivated a work culture and environment that are not only results oriented, but at their core, prioritize the health and wellbeing of its employees.
According to the publication, “Honorees have spent years focusing on wellness in the office — and the tangible benefits of those efforts, particularly when it comes to recruiting and retaining talent.” Latham’s numerous wellness initiatives include culture club activities, walking challenges, and a monthly wellness theme, with nearly 37% of its population participating in these initiatives. Latham also features monthly wellness promotions to support important health awareness campaigns like the company’s recent “Wear Blue Day” to recognize Men’s health Month, benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society and Zero-Men’s Prostate Cancer foundation.

Recipients of the award are judged based upon six categories; culture & leadership commitment, foundational components, communication & marketing, programming & interventions, and reporting & analytics. Scoring and benchmarking were formed with the help of a national, non-biased group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness and business communities.
